The role

About Aurora

Aurora is developing the Aurora Driver, a self-driving technology platform aimed at making transportation safer, more efficient, and more accessible.

What you would do

Tackle end-to-end perception challenges including tracking and semantic understanding
Research and develop state-of-the-art deep learning models for perception
Collaborate cross-functionally to iterate on the Perception system
Drive software development from prototype to production
Contribute to architectural strategy and team collaboration
Design and implement object tracking algorithms

Must have

Master's degree or higher in CS, Robotics, EE, or related field
Bachelor's degree with 2+ years relevant industry experience
Proficient software engineering skills in C++ and Python
Working knowledge in one or more ML focus areas
Experience with PyTorch, Tensorflow, or other deep learning frameworks

Nice to have

Experience deploying production-grade CV/ML models in real-time environments
Strong grasp of linear algebra, optimization, and ML methods
Hands-on experience with VLM, foundational, or world models
Experience with CUDA or high-performance GPU programming
Publication record at top-tier robotics/computer vision venues
Experience automating ML workflows and optimizing training pipelines
Contributions to open source projects
Proven ability to thrive in collaborative engineering environments
