Your résumé and profile
Your résumé, work history, and answers live in our production database and are used for exactly two things: scoring roles against your profile, and completing the applications you approve. They are never sold, never shared for advertising, and never used for anything you didn’t sign up for.
Encryption
Everything moves over TLS. Sensitive stored values — like the account password used to submit applications on employer systems — are protected with industry-standard authenticated encryption, not stored as plain text.
Email access, scoped
Applications go out with a private alias unique to your profile. What we read from that alias is narrow: verification codes employers send during an application, and recruiter replies — both of which land in your Inbox tab and are forwarded on to your real address. We never send mail from your personal mailbox, and we never read your personal inbox.
Who can see your data
You, and the small operations team that completes by hand the applications automation can’t finish — under access controls, for that purpose only. We use a short list of service providers in set categories (hosting, database, email delivery, an LLM provider for résumé tailoring, anti-abuse services). A named list is available on request to the Grievance Officer at grievance@kitejobs.ai.
Deletion, for real
Settings → Account → Delete removes your profile, résumé files, relayed mail, and application history. It works the moment you click it — no email thread, no retention dance. Anything an employer already received lives in their system, which no job tool can recall.
