About Aurora

Aurora is developing self-driving technology to improve safety, efficiency, and accessibility in mobility and logistics.

What you would do

Define vehicle connectivity and communication architecture
Design and implement reliable, low-latency vehicle communications framework
Address connectivity concerns for vehicle runtime, including networking and performance
Collaborate with autonomy engineers on data throughput requirements
Provide engineering support for field testing and fleet operations
Mentor senior engineers and set coding standards

Must have

BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
Expert-level C++ programming skills
Design high-performance, thread-safe, memory-efficient systems in Linux
Work across multiple programming languages and paradigms
Experience with networking protocols like TCP, UDP, gRPC, HTTP
Experience with network health monitoring frameworks
Passion for writing robust, intuitive, pragmatic production code
Experience with Linux network configuration and troubleshooting
Ability to navigate and work effectively in large codebases
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Work autonomously and be a team player across time-zones

Nice to have

Experience with performance evaluation and optimization
Strong programming skills in GoLang
Experience with safety critical systems
