About Aurora

Aurora is developing self-driving technology to improve safety, efficiency, and accessibility in mobility and logistics.

What you would do

  • Define vehicle connectivity and communication architecture
  • Design and implement reliable, low-latency vehicle communications framework
  • Address connectivity concerns for vehicle runtime, including networking and performance
  • Collaborate with autonomy engineers on data throughput requirements
  • Provide engineering support for field testing and fleet operations
  • Mentor senior engineers and set coding standards

Must have

  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Expert-level C++ programming skills
  • Design high-performance, thread-safe, memory-efficient systems in Linux
  • Work across multiple programming languages and paradigms
  • Experience with networking protocols like TCP, UDP, gRPC, HTTP
  • Experience with network health monitoring frameworks
  • Passion for writing robust, intuitive, pragmatic production code
  • Experience with Linux network configuration and troubleshooting
  • Ability to navigate and work effectively in large codebases
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Work autonomously and be a team player across time-zones

Nice to have

  • Experience with performance evaluation and optimization
  • Strong programming skills in GoLang
  • Experience with safety critical systems
