About Aurora
Aurora is developing self-driving technology to make transportation safer, more efficient, and more accessible. They are building the Aurora Driver, a platform for autonomous mobility and logistics.
What you would do
- Design and develop scalable backend infrastructure for map data storage and serving
- Maintain data processing pipelines for map data as commercial routes expand
- Establish robust testing and performance optimization practices for the Atlas system
- Partner with internal and external customers to influence designs and features
- Ensure stability and scalability of the Atlas system
- Support continuous editing and vehicle release processes for the static map
Must have
- 4+ years building server side and data processing systems
- Deep understanding of distributed systems principles
- Ability to deliver scalable, reliable backend systems
- Commitment to writing robust, testable, production-ready code
- Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies like AWS, GCP, Kubernetes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience writing production-level software in C++ or Go

- Domain experience with geospatial data

- Domain experience with high-throughput data pipelines
