What you would do
- Design and build scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
- Develop data infrastructure using AWS and Terraform
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineering teams on data needs
- Optimize data processing for performance and cost-efficiency
- Implement monitoring and alerting for data pipelines
- Champion data governance, quality, and security best practices
Must have
- Bachelor's in CS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
- 1+ years professional software engineering experience with data focus
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or C++
- Experience with big data frameworks like Spark, Flink, or Kinesis
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Strong SQL and relational/NoSQL database knowledge
- Experience with data transformation tools like DBT
- Experience building data pipelines with Apache Airflow
- Systematic approach to open-ended data problems
- Ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced environment
- Proven communication of technical solutions to diverse audiences
Nice to have
- Experience with Snowflake or data lake architectures
- Familiarity with modern data stack tools
- Passion for building scalable and maintainable systems
- Experience using AWS tools
