What you would do
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of 8-10 software engineers.
- Design complex systems from the ground up with cross-functional teams.
- Lead architecture and development of scalable cloud backend services.
- Drive execution and delivery of robust, well-engineered solutions.
- Partner with Product, Design, Autonomy, and Operations stakeholders.
- Champion the engineering team's vision to internal and external stakeholders.
Must have
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of industry experience in software development.
- 5+ years as an Engineering Manager leading a team of 5+ engineers.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale backend systems.
- Deep expertise in cloud backend development and distributed systems.
- Experience with modern API design.
- Experience with external customer facing software and production rollout.
- Proven experience managing, hiring, and mentoring engineers.
- Experience working with Product Management and UI/UX Design teams.
- Phenomenal communication skills to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to write effective technical specs and translate concepts.
- Experience defining technical roadmaps and driving long-term strategic projects.

- Experience in transportation, logistics, or time-sensitive operations.
- Experience with safety and mission critical applications.
- Experience with fleet management for Robots, Vehicles, or Aerial Drones.
- Experience in operations research or optimization algorithms.
