This role supports manufacturing from a test and automation perspective for Aurora's hardware. The engineer will debug software tools, collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams, and manage production test data. The position requires a strong engineering background with both software and hardware skills.

About Aurora

Aurora is developing self-driving technology to improve safety, efficiency, and accessibility in mobility and logistics.

What you would do

Support and debug software tools for manufacturing tests and provisioning.
Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to harden automated test procedures.
Manage and analyze production test performance data to prioritize issues.
Drive continuous improvement activities with cross-functional teams.
Provide technical test support to local manufacturing areas and customers.
Travel internationally to contract manufacturers for on-site bring-up and support.

Must have

B.S. in CS, EE, ME, related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience collecting data with electronic test equipment and data-acquisition systems.
Prior verification, validation, and testing experience with debugging skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication of test status and results.
Experience in manufacturing test development and sustaining at scale.
Ability to read design drawings and wiring schematics.
Excellent analytical abilities and technical writing skills.
Experience programming in Python.
Experience with Linux operating systems.
Experience with Google Suite, JIRA, JAMA, and GIT.
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Willingness to travel internationally to contract manufacturers.

Nice to have

M.S. in EE, CS, ME with mechatronics, or related field.
Experience with data aggregation.
Familiarity with FMCW LiDAR or RF transceivers.
Experience with optical system prototyping and characterization.
Experience in modern automotive electronics and diagnostic procedures.
