What you would do

Create and maintain detailed subsystem schedules that feed master program timelines while monitoring for scope creep or schedule slips
Coordinate with cross-functional hardware and software teams to ensure system-level requirements are decomposed, mapped, and verified throughout development
Break down high-level engineering milestones into clear, trackable tasks and issues in project management tools
Lead continuous improvement initiatives between program management, engineering, and manufacturing to eliminate bottlenecks and scale lidar hardware
Design and maintain dashboards, progress charts, and status metrics that make complex engineering data and project health clear
Centralize and track the lifecycle, maturity, and approval of critical systems engineering artifacts like dFMEAs and design packages for gate reviews

Must have

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field
2-3 years of experience with core engineering principles and the Systems Engineering V-Model
Understanding of how a Bill of Materials (BOM) is structured
Exceptional organizational skills with ability to build structure out of ambiguity and prioritize tasks
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and engineering leaders
Analytical approach to tracking technical data and ensuring engineering plans and release statuses are documented

Nice to have

Experience using Jira or equivalent ticketing systems to manage engineering sprints and track program milestones
Familiarity with Jama or equivalent tools like DOORS for requirements decomposition and traceability
2-3 years of exposure to PLM platforms such as Arena to manage BOM architecture and support ECO workflow
Experience navigating complex product assemblies in 3DEXPERIENCE or equivalent CAD platforms
2-3 years in a fast-paced hardware development environment like automotive, robotics, aerospace, or sensor technologies
