What you would do

  • Own the facility's entire financial operation, including monthly close and reporting.
  • Prepare and present monthly P&L, balance sheets, and variance analysis.
  • Deliver financial analysis on census, payer mix, cost per patient day, and labor.
  • Build and manage the annual operating budget and monitor performance.
  • Partner with the Administrator on strategic planning and cash flow forecasting.
  • Prepare and file annual Medicare and Medicaid cost reports.

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
  • Supervisory or director-level responsibility in accounting or finance.
  • Healthcare finance experience is required.
  • Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, VA, and private pay billing.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and strong general ledger skills.
  • Experience with monthly financial reporting and analysis.
  • Experience managing accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Nice to have

  • CPA designation or advanced degree in accounting or business.
  • Direct experience preparing or filing Medicare and Medicaid cost reports.
  • Familiarity with Colorado Medicaid and state supplemental payment programs.
  • Experience with PointClickCare, MatrixCare, or comparable platforms.
  • Skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute experience.
