The role
This role involves building agentic AI products for clients, owning features from agent design and orchestration through React UIs and native mobile clients. The engineer will also be responsible for evaluation systems to maintain agent quality and will mentor junior teammates. The position is onsite in Santa Monica, CA, with relocation support available.

What you would do
- Design and build agent-based software with tools, memory, and stateful workflows
- Build and maintain evaluation pipelines for LLM and agent quality
- Lead development of React frontends with clean architecture and performance
- Design and maintain backend services, REST APIs, and data models in Java and Python
- Contribute to system design for multi-tenant infrastructure, auth, and async messaging
- Support iOS app features including UI, networking, push notifications, and release management
Must have
- 8+ years building production software at scale
- Hands-on experience building real LLM and agent applications
- Direct experience with agent evaluation including golden datasets and offline evals
- Familiarity with frameworks like Braintrust, LangSmith, Inspect, or custom harnesses
- Strong React including state management, component design, and performance
- Strong Java with Spring Boot and working proficiency in Python
- Relational database design with PostgreSQL preferred
- Comfort with distributed systems, async messaging, and modern service architecture
- Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and CI/CD
- Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Nice to have
- Experience with LangGraph specifically or comparable orchestration from scratch
- iOS development with Swift and SwiftUI including App Store release and APNs
- Multi-provider LLM work with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI and MCP servers
- Redis Streams or similar async messaging at production scale
- Multi-tenant SaaS with non-trivial RBAC and auth
- On-device ML on iOS with CoreML or audio pipelines with Whisper, TTS
- Prior experience working with Palantir Foundry
