What you would do
- Own the on-call rotation and incident response
- Drive postmortems to prevent recurrence
- Scale infrastructure to handle billions of clips
- Work with engineering teams to meet infrastructure needs
- Ensure infrastructure reliability and performance
- Manage video ingestion pipelines and social features
Must have
- Strong fluency in Terraform for infrastructure-as-code
- Hands-on experience running Elasticsearch for user-facing features
- Deep knowledge of GCP including Kubernetes, VPC, IAM, Cloud Logging
- Experience scaling and sharding relational databases like MySQL or Postgres
- Ability to work a P0 calmly and communicate clearly under pressure
- Experience with GitHub Actions in production
- Comfortable in rapid growth startup environment
- Judgment to distinguish durable fixes from temporary patches
- Experience with incident response and running postmortems
- Experience at startups or scale-ups
- Ability to own on-call rotation
- Experience scaling databases under pressure
