What you would do

  • Participate in all aspects of commercial pharmacy dispensing, including prospective DUR, PV1 and PV2
  • Prepare customized non-sterile compounded medications like troches, tablets, creams, and capsules
  • Follow all SOPs, Master Formulation Records, and Compounding Records for accuracy and compliance
  • Assist in creating new SOPs and formulations
  • Ensure full compliance with USP <795> and <800> standards
  • Perform and document quality assurance checks including potency, pH, and weight variation

Must have

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor's in Pharmacy from ACPE-accredited institution
  • Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license in good standing or eligible for licensure
  • Strong foundational knowledge of pharmaceutics, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical calculations
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during compounding activities
  • Manual dexterity to handle compounding equipment and small quantities of ingredients
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
  • Visual acuity for reading prescriptions and inspecting preparations

Nice to have

  • Previous compounding experience through rotations, internships, or elective coursework
  • Familiarity with USP <795> and <800> guidelines
  • Experience with compounding software and pharmacy management systems
  • Completion of or enrollment in a compounding certificate program
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow under an experienced compounding mentor
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
