What you would do

  • Administer chemotherapy, hydration, and other medications as ordered
  • Assess patients, labs, and protocols to facilitate dose modifications
  • Perform venipuncture, access portacaths, and maintain central lines
  • Manage and follow up on extravasation cases
  • Document nursing assessments, teaching, and medication administration
  • Communicate pertinent information and interventions to physicians

Must have

  • Graduate from accredited professional nursing education program
  • Current Montana Registered Nurse License
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum three years as a Registered Nurse
  • Successful completion of Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course every two years
  • Excellent intravenous therapy skills including access and maintenance
  • Knowledge of OSHA guidelines for cytotoxic agents and biohazardous waste
  • Intermediate computer and keyboarding skills in Windows environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to recognize and intervene in urgent situations
  • Knowledge of infection control guidelines and practices
  • Excellent prioritization, organization, and management skills

Nice to have

  • BSN degree preferred
  • Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) preferred
  • Oncology Certified Registered Nurse (OCN) preferred
  • Clinical oncology experience preferred
