What you would do
- Administer chemotherapy, hydration, and other medications as ordered
- Assess patients, labs, and protocols to facilitate dose modifications
- Perform venipuncture, access portacaths, and maintain central lines
- Manage and follow up on extravasation cases
- Document nursing assessments, teaching, and medication administration
- Communicate pertinent information and interventions to physicians
Must have
- Graduate from accredited professional nursing education program
- Current Montana Registered Nurse License
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum three years as a Registered Nurse
- Successful completion of Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course every two years
- Excellent intravenous therapy skills including access and maintenance
- Knowledge of OSHA guidelines for cytotoxic agents and biohazardous waste
- Intermediate computer and keyboarding skills in Windows environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to recognize and intervene in urgent situations
- Knowledge of infection control guidelines and practices
- Excellent prioritization, organization, and management skills
Nice to have
- BSN degree preferred
- Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) preferred
- Oncology Certified Registered Nurse (OCN) preferred
- Clinical oncology experience preferred
