What you would do
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Operate and monitor invasive equipment like ventilators and pumps.
- Perform emergency procedures including BLS and ACLS.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Must have
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school program.
- Current Professional Nurse License recognized by Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Ability to provide care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Competency in operating ICU equipment and titrating critical drips.
- Ability to perform emergency procedures like BLS and ACLS.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to supervise and delegate to other staff.
- Critical thinking and clinical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to transport and recover ICU patients.
- Competency in assisting with bedside procedures.
Nice to have
- 1-2 years of ICU experience.
- TNCC certification.
