The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) implements restorative and rehabilitative occupational therapy services for elderly participants, both at the center and in their homes, under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. The role involves collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, administering treatment programs, and documenting interventions to maximize independence in daily activities. The position offers lower patient volumes, long-term participant relationships, and work-life balance.

What you would do
- Administer treatment programs established by the Occupational Therapist
- Assist in obtaining vital signs, range of motion, and strength testing
- Coordinate with rehabilitation team to implement activities and programs
- Handle scheduling of treatments, clinical visits, and billing
- Document interventions per care plans including devices and techniques
- Promote muscle re-education, cognitive function, balance, and endurance
Must have
- OTA associate's degree from accredited program
- Valid California OTA license or proof of eligibility
- Knowledge to treat frail elderly with complex needs
Nice to have
- Outpatient, acute, inpatient, or skilled nursing experience
