What you would do

  • Participate in the full lifecycle of user-facing applications at scale
  • Develop understanding of business, industry, codebase, and systems
  • Write, test, instrument, and deploy high-quality code with good test coverage
  • Use modern abstractions and frameworks to deploy to Kubernetes environment
  • Help drive innovation and evolution of ZipRecruiter
  • Work on sprint tasks with team and a dedicated project

Must have

  • Enrolled in full-time Computer Science degree program or related field
  • Expected graduation between December 2027 and November 2028
  • Demonstrated software engineering foundation through internship or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in at least one general purpose programming language like Python or Java
  • Ability to work in-person in Santa Monica office for summer
  • Interest in specializing in Big Data, Full Stack, or Machine Learning

Nice to have

  • Fluency in multiple programming languages or quick learning ability
  • Experience with relational and non-relational database systems
  • Exposure to client-side interactions using React, JavaScript, CSS, HTML
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with self-starter mentality
  • Passion for creating intuitive, user-friendly experiences
