What you would do
- Identify and analyze business needs to determine data requirements
- Clean, transform, and organize big data for analysis
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends and patterns
- Develop data visualization tools to communicate insights
- Provide consulting inputs for guidelines and best practices
- Help stakeholders estimate, plan, and prioritize data engineering efforts
Must have
- Expertise in Python, Spark, Java, Scala for data pipelines
- Expertise in relational databases like SQL and NoSQL
- Strong understanding of NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase
- Familiarity with data standards like FAIR, JSON, OWL and YAML
- Understanding of AI/ML, data science concepts and cloud architecture
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in data engineering or related field
- Experience with scientific informatics or life science background
- Minimum 5+ years cloud computing experience with AWS, Azure, GCP
- Experience using version control systems like Git
- Experience with data solutions like Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, etc.
- Experience with AI/ML libraries like Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, D3.js
Nice to have
- Data engineering certification from cloud platform like Azure/AWS/Cloudera
- Customer centricity to deliver at highest standards
