What you would do
- Define and oversee enterprise semantic and analytical models
- Translate business questions into KPIs and analytical frameworks
- Own and govern enterprise metric definitions across departments
- Facilitate working sessions with subject matter experts
- Partner with data engineering on pipelines and datasets
- Establish governance for semantic models and certified datasets
Must have
- 5+ years in analytics engineering, data analytics, or BI
- Experience designing semantic or analytical models
- Experience defining and managing KPIs and metrics
- Facilitating business discussions and translating requirements
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational data concepts
- Experience collaborating with data engineering teams
- Understanding of dimensional modeling and semantic layer design
- Advanced experience with Power BI and DAX
- Knowledge of data governance principles
- Ability to balance business needs with technical constraints
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Understanding of data structures for AI/ML use cases
Nice to have
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Synapse, Fabric, or Dataverse
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience
- Relevant Microsoft or analytics certifications
