Echelon is building an AI platform for Business Operations, combining process mining with a living ontology to automate knowledge work and connect fragmented enterprise data.
What you would do
- Design and ship production agents for multi-step work
- Build orchestration patterns for agent swarms
- Create evaluation suites for task success and safety
- Improve context engineering across prompts and retrieval
- Build guardrails for permissions and sensitive data
- Compare models using production traces and outcomes
Must have
- 4+ years building production software
- Hands-on work with LLM or ML products
- Shipped agentic system beyond prototype
- Improved system using production feedback
- Strong Python and/or TypeScript engineering
- Experience with tool calling and structured generation
- Experience with retrieval and model evaluation
- Experience with multi-step workflows
- Judgment on using model or deterministic code
- Comfort debugging nondeterministic behavior
- High agency and direct communication
- Comfort owning outcomes under changing requirements
Nice to have
- Multi-agent systems or long-running agents
- Computer use or code execution experience
- Planning and reasoning systems experience
- Vercel AI SDK, OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral
