What you would do
- Test surveys and ensure programming is ready before launch
- Pull phone records via SQL for balanced samples
- Calculate and implement fielding quotas for various audiences
- Manage quotas, CPI adjustments, and monitor fielding progress
- Execute data quality checks in R and troubleshoot anomalies
- Collaborate with data team on survey dataset issues
Must have
- 2+ years in data analysis at agency or research firm
- Studied statistics or conducted original quantitative research
- Strong interest in news, politics, and public policy
- Data-driven with strong desire to work with numbers
- Proficient in R and MySQL for data manipulation
- Conversant in data collection strategies like APIs or scraping
- Fast learner able to pick up new platforms quickly
- Strong attention to detail
- High responsibility and diligence in owning processes
- Clear, prompt, proactive communication with team and vendors
Nice to have
- Experience with Python, Excel pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Tableau
- Background in survey research
- Prior experience in fieldwork management
- Knowledge of survey weighting approaches
