What you would do
- Design and implement mapping, localization, and calibration algorithms
- Develop tooling and metrics for performance validation
- Create and maintain continuous testing frameworks
- Collaborate with vehicle infrastructure, hardware, and QA teams
- Balance project tasks, code reviews, and research
- Tune algorithms for production hardware
Must have
- MS or PhD in robotics or related field
- Solid foundation in probability, linear algebra, and 3D geometry
- Understanding of matrix factorization and Lie algebra
- Knowledge of 3D Lidar mapping and localization techniques
- Familiarity with state estimation frameworks like EKF
- Experience with nonlinear optimization libraries
- 6+ years industry experience in autonomous vehicle software
- 6+ years experience writing production C++ code
- Proficiency in Python
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have
- Proven record of top-tier publications or patents
- Experience with GPU programming and CUDA
- Experience with automated map change detection
- Experience with multi-sensor calibration algorithms
- Experience with camera-based SLAM and 3D multi-view geometry
- Experience with ROS2
- Exposure to Git and Jira
