What you would do

  • Act as design responsible engineer for vehicle controllers including traction, actuator, IO, sensor, and safety firmware.
  • Define technical direction for embedded software architecture, coding standards, and system interfaces.
  • Review electrical schematics and direct I/O mapping with hardware engineers.
  • Debug complex issues using ARM JTAG/ETM systems and other tools.
  • Develop safety-critical code compliant with MISRA C or similar standards.
  • Use 3D LIDARs and cameras to create Virtual Bumper systems achieving PL=D ratings.

Must have

  • 8-12+ years of embedded software development in product-focused environment
  • Deep expertise with microcontrollers, especially ARM Cortex-M
  • Experience with low-level drivers and real-time control systems
  • Strong debugging skills with JTAG, ETM, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes
  • Experience with safety-critical software standards like MISRA C or ISO 26262
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Strong architecture and system-level thinking for scalable firmware
  • Experience with RTOS for safety-critical applications
  • Familiarity with CI/CD for embedded systems, such as GitHub Actions
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • Technical leadership track record
