About Camus Energy

What you would do
- Develop and maintain high-fidelity power flow and optimal power flow models
- Write automated tests and validation pipelines for model accuracy and solver reliability
- Drive solver architecture balancing accuracy with computational performance
- Build tooling to visualize and translate model outputs into actionable insights
- Partner with utility customers to understand datasets and validate model outputs
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate utility models into the platform
Must have
- Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years industry experience deploying power systems models
- Strong foundations in power systems concepts and optimization solvers
- Experience with large utility datasets like GIS, SCADA, AMI
- Experience with OpenDSS or similar power flow modeling software
- Ability to translate mathematical formulations into production code
- Strong Python skills for production-ready code
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Comfortable operating autonomously in a small team
Nice to have
- Experience with hosting capacity and interconnection studies
- Experience with transmission grid planning or operations software
- Experience with time-series forecasting or AI in grid analytics
- Experience with GCP or other cloud platforms
- Able to leverage AI code development tools
