About Camus Energy

Camus Energy builds software to help new load and generation connect to the grid faster, providing a view of time-varying grid capacity for interconnection points.

What you would do

  • Design and build backend services, APIs, and platform infrastructure.
  • Contribute to product features end to end, including data pipelines and deployment.
  • Lead development of observability stack for metrics, logging, and alerting.
  • Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines, deployment tooling, and release processes.
  • Drive incident response and postmortems collaboratively, building automation to close loops.
  • Establish practices for team engagement in production health.

Must have

  • Minimum 3 years software engineering with infrastructure or platform focus.
  • Experience owning backend services and APIs end to end with Python 3.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and GCP or comparable cloud in production.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with observability tooling like Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Collaborative approach to reliability, bringing team along.
  • Ability to design and build backend services and APIs.
  • Experience leading observability stack development.
  • Experience owning CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
  • Experience driving incident response and postmortems.

Nice to have

  • Experience with energy, utilities, or regulated/critical infrastructure domains.
  • Familiarity with Bazel build tool.
  • Familiarity with Go, Node.js, and Python packaging.
  • Experience with SQL, databases, or data warehouses.
