What you would do
- Design and build backend storage, services, APIs, and platform infrastructure
- Manage data lifecycle from ingestion to publishing analytic results
- Collaborate with product and analytics teams to co-develop solutions
- Ensure data systems are up-to-date, accurate, and reliable for real-time decisions
- Drive buy-vs-build decisions for the data layer
- Balance storage efficiency with fast access for common usage patterns
Must have
- Minimum 3 years software engineering with infrastructure/platform focus
- Experience with machine learning or forecasting models
- Experience with Python 3, Kubernetes, and GCP or comparable cloud
- Comfortable owning production backend services and APIs end to end
- Considerable experience with complex real-world data
- Collaborative approach to design and consensus building
Nice to have
- Experience in energy, utilities, or regulated/critical infrastructure domains
- Familiarity supporting ML, forecasting, or power flow algorithms in production
- Experience with SQL, databases, or data warehouses
