What you would do
- Set technical direction for performance optimization initiatives
- Design and ship advanced features like auto-approval rules and Smart Apply
- Drive cross-team initiatives spanning extension, backend, and AI infrastructure
- Mentor engineers through code review and architectural discussions
- Own end-to-end delivery of high-impact features from design to deployment
- Establish engineering standards for AI coding workflows
Must have
- 10+ years of professional software development experience
- Proven track record setting technical direction for complex projects
- Deep experience building developer tools or IDE extensions with 100K+ users
- Expertise in TypeScript and modern JavaScript
- Track record of performance optimization at scale
- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools or chat interfaces
- Ability to influence technical decisions across teams
- Strong product sense and partnership with non-engineering stakeholders
- Based in and willing to work Eastern TimeZone hours
