Teal alternatives in 2026: four worth switching to, and what each costs

We make Apiva. Read this knowing that.

Every price, free-tier limit and review figure for the four alternatives below was read from the vendor's own live page on 7 November 2026, and each page is linked so you can check it yourself. Two things to know first. LoopCV's own FAQ says paid plans start from €9.99 a month while the plan cards on that same page show $19.99, so go by the card. And Simplify publishes its prices in a help-centre article rather than on a pricing page.

The 10-second version

Teal is a free job tracker with a résumé builder attached, and it is what most people reading this already have open. Job tracking is unlimited on the free plan. Teal+ is $13 a week, $29 per 30 days or $79 per 90 days. It buys résumé and writing tools rather than applications, and people who use it like it: Trustpilot showed 4.3 out of 5 from 120 reviews on 7 November 2026, labelled Excellent.

If you want the full head-to-head on Teal itself, that is written up separately at Teal vs Apiva.

Four tools get named as the swap. They are not the same purchase. Huntr is the closest like-for-like: a kanban tracker with unlimited autofill on its free plan. Rezi is the swap if the résumé builder was the reason you were on Teal at all. Simplify fills forms and can submit them with no review step. LoopCV runs on volume, and it counts an email to a recruiter as one of your applications.

Apiva: you approve each job, our AI fills and submits it, and a credit is spent only once the submission is confirmed. 25 applications a month are free.

Your search is a mess and a free board would fix it? Huntr.

Every application confirmed as received before it costs you anything? Us.

What counts as a Teal alternative here

Teal does three jobs, and which alternative fits depends on which one brought you to it. It keeps a record of your search. It builds and tailors a résumé. Its extension saves postings from job boards.

What it does not do, on any page we read, is apply for you. Nothing on its pricing page or its extension listing describes filling in an employer's form and sending it. That listing talks about setting goals "around applications submitted" and tracking "the status of every job you've applied for", both of which are a record of your own work.

That gap is why this list splits so cleanly. Autofill is a typing shortcut. A tool fills the boxes on a form you already opened, and then you press send. Submission is a different verb. Two of the four below stop at autofill. One goes past it. One never touches an employer's form at all.

The other thing worth reading twice is the unit on the price tag. Jobs tracked. Applications attempted. Credits spent. Submissions confirmed. Only the last of those is something an employer received, and a tracker will happily bill you on any of the first three. We put four trackers side by side here if the organising is the part you are shopping for.

Huntr

Huntr is the kanban board, and it is the nearest thing to a straight swap for Teal's tracker. Its pricing page lists saving jobs from job boards and employer sites, moving each one through stages, a todo list per application, notes against the people you talk to, and a map view.

Autofill is free and uncapped. That page lists unlimited application autofills on the free plan, next to unlimited contact management and up to 100 document uploads. Its extension listing says the extension "auto-fills application forms for you, drawing from your Huntr profile", and the Chrome Web Store showed 4.6 out of 5 from 1.3K ratings and 90,000 users on 7 November 2026.

Free caps the log at 100 jobs. Pro is $40 a month, or $30 a month billed as $90 every three months, or $26.66 a month billed as $160 every six. There is no free trial, because the free plan is the trial.

One wrinkle worth naming. That same listing also advertises a "one-click quick apply feature" for submitting applications online, while the pricing page describes autofill and nothing beyond it. Store listings are written by marketing. If submission is the thing you are paying for, check it inside the extension before you buy.

Better than us: autofill at no cost with no cap, a review record we cannot match, and a board that beats ours at the job of remembering. The two of us are compared at Huntr vs Apiva.

Rezi

Rezi is the résumé-first alternative, and this is the one to look at if Teal's résumé builder was the part you actually used. Its homepage leads with an AI resume builder, an ATS-style score it calls the Rezi Score, keyword targeting against a posting, a cover letter generator and interview practice. It describes its extension as "Auto-fill and apply in one click", which is the same ambiguity as everyone else's.

Two claims on that page are Rezi's own and we cannot check either one: "Ranked #1 AI Resume Builder by Forbes", and a user count of 4.8M. They are the company's figures, not a measurement we made.

Pricing runs Free at $0, Pro at $29 a month, Enterprise at $99 a month per 200 users, and a Lifetime plan at $149 one time. Free gives you one résumé, three PDF downloads, the standard templates and limited use of the AI tools. Paid plans carry a stated 100% money-back guarantee, askable within 30 days of purchase.

That $149 one-off is a real answer for someone who changes jobs every few years, and nobody else on this page sells anything like it.

Better than us: the builder itself, a score you can watch move as you edit, and a lifetime price. We build no résumés at all.

Simplify

Simplify is the one of the four that submits.

What free includes is easier to list than to describe: basic Copilot autofill, a résumé builder, a job tracker and Gmail integration, per its help centre. Copilot fills supported fields and hands the form back to you.

Simplify+ adds Autopilot, which their own page describes as filling and submitting "after you choose the job and preparation options, without a review step". That is a real submission, and the same end state we produce.

The prices are quoted per period. $19.99 for one week, $39.99 for one month, $89.99 for three months, each renewing until cancelled, and the article notes the charge covers the whole period rather than a daily rate. Simplify+ includes 20 credits a week, one of them spent on a successfully submitted application. A failed or cancelled run costs nothing, and unused credits do not carry over.

That is the unit we bill on too, and it is the fairest one in this group.

Better than us: free autofill, a résumé builder and a tracker in one place, and a paid tier that charges per confirmed submission. The full comparison is at Simplify vs Apiva.

LoopCV

LoopCV is the volume option, and it works differently from the other three. Its pricing page sells search and applying in bulk: you give it job titles and locations, and it works through matching postings.

The quota is the part to read twice, because every card prints it as "applications or emails". Basic Looper is free, up to 10 a month. Standard is $19.99 a month for up to 100. Premium is $59.99 a month for up to 300. Done For You is $89.99 a month for everything in Premium plus a weekly advisory call.

An application goes into an employer's hiring system for a named job. An email lands in a recruiter's inbox. One unit covers both, and the card does not tell you the split.

There is also that price catch from the top of this post. The same page's FAQ says paid plans start from €9.99 a month. The cards say $19.99.

The free plan has no time limit on it, and the paid plans reach well past the US. Recruiter outreach is the part none of the other tools here offers.

Better than us: emails to recruiters, a free plan with no clock on it, and A/B testing of CV versions against each other. We tailor a résumé for each role and never test one version against another. Our longer comparison is at LoopCV vs Apiva.

Where Apiva fits

We are the newest and smallest thing here. We are also last on purpose. Someone moving off Teal already has a working search and a free plan that costs nothing to keep. That is not a problem worth selling into.

If the problem is that the applications themselves never get sent, that part is ours. You approve a job from a feed or paste in a link, our AI fills the application and rewrites your résumé for that role, and a credit is held when you add the job, spent only once the submission is confirmed, and returned when an attempt fails. That is a billing rule rather than a line in the copy.

Free is 25 applications a month, no card. Starter is $19 a month for up to 200, Pro is $39 for 600 and Scale is $99 for 1,500. Quarterly prices of $49, $79 and $239 are published but not purchasable yet. The plans are on the pricing page.

What we do not do is organise the search. There is no kanban board, no résumé builder and no contacts database, so if you want one place to run the whole hunt, Huntr and Rezi both do that better than we do.

Bottom line

Keep Teal's free plan while it is working. Unlimited tracking costs nothing, and Teal+ buys résumé and writing tools.

Move to Huntr if the tracker is the part you use and you want autofill without a cap. Move to Rezi if the résumé is the part you use, and look at the $149 lifetime before you start a subscription. Move to Simplify if you want the form filled and sent for you, and you are willing to pay per period for it. Move to LoopCV if you would rather have volume, and ask their support how much of your quota went out as emails rather than applications. They gave one reviewer exactly that breakdown in a public reply, so it is a fair question.

If what you want is each application confirmed as received before it costs anything, that is what we sell, and 25 applications a month are free with no card.

Whoever you use, do one thing this week. Open five applications from last month in the employer's own candidate portal. If four of them are missing, you have learned something no dashboard will tell you.

Approve the jobs. We’ll get them applied to.

The free tier is 25 applications every month, no card. A credit is only spent when a submission is confirmed, so a failed application costs you nothing.

applications confirmed submitted so far. That number is live, and it only counts applications an employer actually received.
