It is a claim about other people behavior, which makes it unusual here and slightly awkward: you are reporting what colleagues thought of you, and only they can confirm it. That is not a reason to drop the underlying fact, which is a genuinely strong signal, but it does mean the phrase needs converting into something observable — what you were the go-to person for, and what you produced as a result.
