The role
This is a 1099 independent contractor position for a Physical Therapist to provide home-based care in the Hemet/Temecula region. The role involves traveling to patients' homes to perform evaluations, develop care plans, provide therapeutic interventions, and educate patients and caregivers. The position offers a guaranteed base pay of $1,080 per week for a minimum of 6 patient visits per day.

What you would do
- Travel to patients' homes to provide physical therapy services
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations in home environments
- Assess strength, range of motion, balance, gait, and functional limitations
- Evaluate home environments for safety and fall risks
- Develop individualized plans of care based on evaluations and physician orders
- Establish measurable short-term and long-term functional goals
Must have
- Current and valid California Physical Therapist license
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation principles
- Strong clinical reasoning and patient assessment skills
- Ability to independently perform comprehensive PT evaluations
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercise and gait training
- Excellent patient assessment and pain management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage mobile caseload
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel throughout assigned service area
- Comfortable providing care in patients' homes
Nice to have
- Experience with orthopedic, musculoskeletal, or neurological patients
- Previous home health or mobile therapy experience
- CPR/BLS certification
- Experience in outpatient, geriatric, or community-based settings
