The role

This is a 1099 independent contractor role for a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide home-based physical therapy services in the Antelope region. The PTA will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, implementing care plans, providing therapeutic interventions, and educating patients and caregivers. The position requires travel to patients' homes and involves a 4/10 work schedule.

What you would do

  • Travel to patients' homes to provide physical therapy
  • Review patient plan of care and treatment goals
  • Provide skilled therapeutic interventions per plan of care
  • Assist patients with strength, mobility, and functional training
  • Train patients on assistive device use
  • Implement and reinforce home exercise programs

Must have

  • Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license
  • Graduate of accredited PTA program
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology
  • Ability to implement PT's plan of care
  • Knowledge of therapeutic exercise and mobility training
  • Strong observation and patient monitoring skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage caseload
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel throughout assigned service area
  • Comfortable providing care in patients' homes

Nice to have

  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Previous home health or mobile therapy experience
  • Previous outpatient, orthopedic, or neurological experience
  • Previous geriatric or community-based experience

What you get

  • Guaranteed base pay of $840 per week
  • $35 per patient visit
  • Additional $35 per visit beyond 6 daily visits
  • 4/10 work schedule
