The role
This is a 1099 independent contractor role for a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide home-based physical therapy services in the San Diego region. The PTA will implement established plans of care, educate patients and caregivers, and document treatment under the direction of a supervising Physical Therapist. The position requires travel to patients' homes and offers a guaranteed base pay with additional per-visit compensation.

What you would do

Must have
- Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license
- Graduate of accredited PTA program
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology
- Ability to implement PT's plan of care safely
- Knowledge of therapeutic exercise and gait training
- Strong observation and patient monitoring skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage mobile caseload
- Punctual, dependable, organized, and professional
- Comfortable providing care in patients' homes
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel throughout assigned service area
Nice to have
- CPR/BLS certification
- Previous home health or mobile therapy experience
- Outpatient, orthopedic, neurological, or geriatric experience
