The role
This is a 1099 independent contractor role for a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide home-based physical therapy services in the Jacksonville region. The PTA will implement plans of care, monitor patient progress, and educate patients and caregivers, all under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The position requires travel to patients' homes and offers a guaranteed base pay of $840 per week.

What you would do
- Travel to patients' homes to provide physical therapy
- Review established plan of care before treatment
- Provide skilled therapeutic interventions per plan
- Train patients on assistive device use
- Reinforce home exercise programs
- Educate patients and caregivers on mobility and safety
Must have
- Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license
- Graduate of accredited PTA program
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Knowledge of therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation
- Ability to implement established plan of care
- Strong observation and patient monitoring skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with mobile caseload
- Punctual, dependable, organized, and professional
- Comfortable providing care in patients' homes
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel throughout assigned service area
Nice to have
- CPR/BLS certification
- Previous home health or mobile therapy experience
- Previous outpatient, orthopedic, or neurological experience
- Previous geriatric or community-based experience
What you get
- Guaranteed base pay of $840 per week
- $35 per patient visit for visits beyond daily base of 6
- 4/10 work schedule with four 10-hour days
