What you would do
- Travel to patients' homes to provide physical therapy treatment
- Review patient's plan of care and treatment goals before visits
- Implement therapeutic exercises, activities, and neuromuscular re-education
- Provide gait, balance, and functional mobility training
- Train patients on assistive devices like walkers and canes
- Reinforce home exercise programs established by the Physical Therapist
Must have
- Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and biomechanics
- Ability to implement a Physical Therapist's established plan of care
- Knowledge of therapeutic exercise, gait training, and balance training
- Strong observation and patient monitoring skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a mobile caseload
- Must be punctual, dependable, organized, and professional
- Comfortable providing care in patients' homes
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area
Nice to have
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or required according to company policy
- Previous home health, mobile therapy, or outpatient experience preferred
