What you would do
- Record vital signs and alert physicians to abnormalities
- Assist patients with specimen collection and test preparation
- Prepare patients for physical examinations
- Coordinate patient treatments, procedures, and surgeries
- Perform venipunctures, IV therapies, and injections
- Dispense and document prescribed medications
Must have
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Current Michigan Registered Nurse License
- Current BLS Certification
- 8-10 years of RN experience
- Knowledge of nursing theory and practice
- Knowledge of OSHA, MIOSHA, JACHO and HIPAA regulations
- Ability to react calmly in emergencies
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good analytical and judgment skills
- Ability to use computer software programs
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent organizational skills
Nice to have
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
- Experience in an ambulatory care setting
- Med-Surg background in Oncology, Neurology, or Rheumatology
- Prior experience in an infusion clinic
- Knowledge of Public Health Code and Michigan Nurse Practice Act
