What you would do
- Document vital signs and alert physicians to abnormalities
- Instruct patients on specimen collection and tests
- Prepare patients for physical examinations
- Assist physicians with treatments and procedures
- Perform venipunctures, IV therapies, and injections
- Dispense medications and document orders
Must have
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Current Michigan Registered Nurse License
- Current BLS Certification
- Knowledge of nursing theory and practice
- Knowledge of OSHA, MIOSHA, JACHO, and HIPAA regulations
- Ability to react calmly in emergencies
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good analytical and judgment skills
- Ability to use computer software programs
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent organizational skills
Nice to have
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
- 1-2 years experience in ambulatory care
- Knowledge of Public Health Code and Michigan Nurse Practice Act
