What you would do
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for upper-extremity function
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to restore function and reduce pain
- Deliver hands-on therapy interventions aligned with physician referrals and patient goals
- Fabricate splints and provide adaptive equipment training as appropriate
- Educate patients on home exercise programs, task modification, and functional strategies
- Communicate consistently with patients, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams
Must have
- Active or in-progress New York State Occupational Therapist license
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and patient-centered care skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment
- Commitment to professionalism, collaboration, and inclusive care
Nice to have
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics or hand therapy
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certification
- Actively pursuing CHT certification
