What you would do

  • Provide supervised intervention for speech, language, and feeding disorders in pediatric clients
  • Support assessments using standardized tools and clinical observations under SLP supervision
  • Implement individualized treatment plans considering client age, abilities, and diagnosis
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication and functional strategies
  • Use various AAC systems and access methods including eye gaze and switch access
  • Demonstrate understanding of oral-motor, feeding, and swallowing intervention techniques

Must have

  • Current and active SLPA license with appropriate state licensing board
  • Completion of accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent
  • Previous experience in pediatric speech pathology or related field
  • Familiarity with communication disorders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport with patients and parents
  • Positive, patient, and professional demeanor
  • Background clearance by DOJ and FBI
  • CPR and First Aid certificates
  • Ability to communicate confidently with clients, therapy team, and medical professionals
  • Leadership skills to ensure clinic staff work towards common goals
  • Professional empathy and ability to develop rapport
