What you would do
- Prepare and post journal entries with proper documentation and coding.
- Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts including cash and accruals.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and variance analyses.
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Support accounts payable and receivable transaction reviews.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Two or more years of progressive general accounting experience.
- Experience with general ledger and account reconciliations.
- Working knowledge of GAAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and lookups.
- Experience with an ERP or general ledger system.
- Fully bilingual in Spanish and English, written and verbal.
- Ability to work onsite in Puerto Rico on first shift.
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Nice to have
- Experience in hospital, healthcare, or regulated industry.
- CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification.
- Experience supporting external audits or Medicare/Medicaid cost reports.
- Familiarity with healthcare revenue cycle and third-party payor reporting.
