What you would do
- Contact members with defaulted loans via phone, email, and text
- Provide primary phone support for repossessions and escalated collections
- Proactively discuss accounts to identify reasons for delinquency
- Develop repayment plans and loan modifications to bring accounts current
- Advise members on improving their financial outlook
- Provide information on financial education resources and tools
Must have
- 1-3 years consumer loan collections experience
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Knowledge of analyzing tax returns and credit reports
- Familiarity with credit procedures, regulations, and bankruptcy law
- Strong interpersonal skills for team environment
- Ability to work onsite 2-3 days per week
- Ability to use standard office equipment
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
- Occasional travel required
Nice to have
- 1-3 years Credit Union consumer credit experience
- Knowledge of loan structuring and work-out solutions
