What you would do
- Collaborate with source-system owners and SMEs to understand data attributes and rules.
- Document source systems, data attributes, business definitions, and dependencies.
- Identify business insights, KPIs, and downstream use cases supported by data.
- Understand data availability, SLA, latency, and freshness requirements.
- Assess source-system integration options, connectivity, and security considerations.
- Translate source-system knowledge into actionable requirements for data engineering.
Must have
- 10+ years in enterprise data, analytics, or technology projects.
- Experience with data engineering teams and enterprise data platforms.
- Understanding of source systems and data attributes, rules, and use cases.
- Strong knowledge of modern cloud data architecture and lifecycle.
- Hands-on with data ingestion, ETL/ELT, and Bronze/Silver/Gold architecture.
- Experience with data quality, catalog, lineage, contracts, and testing.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum engineering teams.
- Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, release management, and testing.
- Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
