The Data Scientist will build forecasting, optimization, and measurement models, working across the full lifecycle from business problem to production. About Sciemo
Sciemo builds AI for consumer goods, helping businesses make faster, smarter decisions across the IBP process by transforming messy data into business impact.
What you would do
- Develop and validate forecasting, optimization, and anomaly detection models.
- Perform exploratory analysis on complex customer datasets.
- Design and analyze experiments to quantify business impact.
- Establish rigorous validation practices like backtesting and holdouts.
- Partner with engineers to move models from notebook to production.
- Contribute to feature engineering, evaluation pipelines, and model monitoring.
Must have
- Experience developing and validating models on real, messy data.
- Solid foundation in statistics and machine learning.
- Strong Python (pandas, scikit-learn) and strong SQL.
- Curiosity about the business problem behind the data.
- Clear communication to non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
- Eagerness to learn quickly in a startup environment.
Nice to have
- Exposure to CPG, retail, or consumer brand data.
- Experience with Spark, cloud platforms (AWS or similar), or orchestration tools.
- Familiarity with LLMs and their practical use in analytical workflows.
