What you would do

  • Support integration of industrial hardware and learn register maps and protocols.
  • Assist in implementing Hardware Abstraction Layers (HALs) under senior guidance.
  • Write and contribute to Rust code targeting Linux userspace.
  • Learn to use hardware debugging tools like logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
  • Contribute to code quality through testing and peer reviews.
  • Develop understanding of system reliability as a safety requirement.

Must have

  • Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 0–2 years professional experience in systems programming or embedded software.
  • Foundational knowledge of C, C++, or Rust with motivation to work in Rust.
  • Basic understanding of Linux internals or operating system concepts.
  • Strong analytical mindset and eagerness to learn hardware-software integration.

Nice to have

  • Coursework or personal project experience with embedded systems or microcontrollers.
  • Familiarity with SPI, I2C, UART, or CAN communication protocols.
  • Exposure to hardware debugging tools (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes).
  • Interest in safety-critical or real-time systems.
  • Any experience with Rust, even in personal projects.
