The role
NISC is hiring a software development intern to assist with designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise software for utilities and broadbands. The intern will work on a hybrid schedule from one of three office locations and collaborate with a team of developers and support staff.

What you would do
- Research, design, and develop software systems.
- Analyze and resolve basic software maintenance issues.
- Assist in enhancing or maintaining application programs.
- Follow established software development methodologies.
- Perform unit and system integration quality testing.
- Review and prioritize assigned change requests.
Must have
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a computer science related field.
- Strong customer orientation.
- Familiarity with object-oriented concepts and languages like Java.
- Familiarity with JavaScript and its frameworks.
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS/SCSS and enterprise design patterns.
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases.
- Familiarity with Linux and Microsoft Windows.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
