What you would do
- Contribute to architectural decisions and guide team best practices
- Incorporate automated tests into tickets and mentor on automation strategies
- Lead brainstorming sessions and propose innovative solutions
- Identify opportunities and lead proof-of-concepts for key functionality
- Consider scalability, maintainability, and best practices in design
- Identify potential risks and provide mitigation strategies
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Experience with collaboration tools
- Demonstrated commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience with client-side JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, or Knockout
- Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM and TDD development methodologies
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Experience with AWS tools and technologies
