About Katmai
Katmai is a federal contractor that provides support services, including software engineering for Navy mission systems.
What you would do
- Design, develop, test, and deploy microservices and APIs for fleet training workflows
- Integrate applications with FTM data sources and implement role-based access
- Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and produce technical documentation
- Support Authority to Operate sustainment tasks including STIGs and scans
- Maintain regular attendance and perform other assigned duties
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
- Three to five years of software development experience
- Proficiency in Python, Java, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, or SQL
- Experience with REST/GraphQL, Docker containers, and Git
- Familiarity with DoD RMF, STIGs, and secure coding practices
- Experience producing status reports and staffing plans
- Must obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance
- U.S. citizenship required
Nice to have
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Cloud fluency in AWS or Azure with certification like Cloud Practitioner
- Experience supporting federal agencies or systems
- Experience with Kubernetes, message queues, and ETL for FTM data
- Familiarity with ELK/Splunk and Jira/Confluence
