What you would do
- Define end-to-end data architecture across Snowflake, dbt, and related services.
- Translate business strategy into scalable technical roadmaps and platform capabilities.
- Establish technology boundaries for ingestion, transformation, and analytics logic.
- Architect secure, scalable, and cost-effective Snowflake environments.
- Partner with senior data engineer on workload management and performance.
- Lead technical strategies for environment management and platform resilience.
Must have
- 8+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data architecture.
- Experience as senior technical lead, staff engineer, or principal engineer.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Snowflake architecture and performance.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and strong Python experience.
- Significant experience with dbt or comparable SQL-first transformation framework.
- Experience designing modern analytical data models.
- Knowledge of ingestion, ELT, orchestration, and data quality practices.
- Experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD, and software engineering practices.
- Ability to define architecture and technical standards while being hands-on.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and drive technical alignment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Nice to have
- Experience with dltHub or another modern ingestion framework.
- Experience with Omni, Looker, or another governed semantic BI platform.
