What you would do
- Execute daily patching and updates across Linux servers, databases, and software stacks.
- Maintain detailed records of patching activities, schedules, and approvals for compliance.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditing teams to provide evidence for SOC and federal audits.
- Perform pre-patch testing in staging environments to identify potential conflicts or regressions.
- Adhere strictly to formal change management processes for all system modifications.
- Develop and maintain scripts in Python, Bash, etc., to automate patching tasks and generate compliance reports.
Must have
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- 3+ years of professional experience in Linux systems administration, patch management, and infrastructure operations.
- Significant experience participating in and providing evidence for SOC audits.
- Exceptional commitment to detail, precise record-keeping, and process adherence.
- Strong practical knowledge of Linux administration and command-line interfaces.
- Experience patching and updating database systems (both relational and non-relational).
- Familiarity with updating and maintaining AI inference tools and complex distributed software stacks.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automating administrative tasks.
- Familiarity with formal change management and incident management frameworks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external auditors.
