What you would do
- Ensure reliability of core services including PostgreSQL, ECS, CI/CD, and observability stack
- Drive security initiatives that address risk with minimal friction
- Create tools and share best practices to empower engineers
- Influence team standards for non-functional requirements
- Collaborate across the company to understand requirements and share knowledge
- Build platform for AI development including tooling, guardrails, and infrastructure
Must have
- 6+ years of platform engineering or adjacent background
- Knowledge of AWS cloud platform
- Knowledge of open-source tools like Terraform, Kafka, Temporal, Postgres, OTel
- Track record of incident leadership with calm and quick response
- Practice blameless post-mortems and high accountability
- Judgement to know when to create MVP vs more rigorous solutions
- Communication and collaboration skills to share why behind work
- Customer empathy to understand organizational pain points
Nice to have
- Security and compliance experience in healthcare or regulated space
- Experience with Datadog, Temporal, Kafka, Databricks, Terraform
- Monorepo CI/CD systems at scale
- Experience growing a series B startup with ~30 engineers
- Experience with LLM tooling or infrastructure in production
