What you would do
- Design and extend core ledger with accounts and postings
- Own chart-of-accounts and reporting surface
- Work on on-chain and off-chain balance verification and reconciliation
- Partner with engineering teams on financial design early
- Design data models for new financial products
- Ensure financial correctness in new product designs
Must have
- Working knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and chart-of-accounts
- Understanding of financial statements like P&L and balance sheet
- Knowledge of reconciliation and audit requirements in practice
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience
- Track record of owning data-model design for correctness-critical systems
- Strong instincts for extensible system design
- Comfort reading and critiquing technical designs across systems
- Strong cross-functional communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience in crypto or blockchain infrastructure
- Experience with on-chain balance models, custody, or wallet architecture
- Experience with event-driven or Kafka-based service architectures
- Prior embedded accounting architecture or financial-systems design-review role
