What you would do
- Design, implement, and test machine control software for wafer handling features.
- Understand existing and new wafer handling hardware and robot operations.
- Modify machine control software to add functionality and optimize operations.
- Operate ion implantation system wafer handling to develop and test controls.
- Write subsystem verification and test routines.
- Collaborate with mechanical, hardware, validation, and manufacturing engineering teams.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- At least 5 years of experience writing software to control electrical or mechanical systems.
- Excellent software development skills.
- Knowledge of networking architectures, topologies, and protocols like TCP/IP, RS232, RS485, USB.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
- Good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience working in a lab on equipment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Semiconductor industry experience.
- Ion implant experience.
- Experience with Delta Tau PMAC or other motion controllers.
- Training or experience with robots, motors, actuators, or servo systems.
- Knowledge of real-time control.
- Experience with hardware like FPGA or PCB.
- Experience with embedded hardware or software architecture.
